Charlie Pound realized at an early age that music was a language in itself and found that it seemed to possess some kind of medicine for the heart and mind. When Charlie Pound was 10 years old he decided he wanted to rap. So he wrote his first rap when he was 11 years old. Rappers come a dime a dozen. If you don't rap, you probably know someone who does. But, do you know what separates the imitators from the truly gifted; Raw Talent, when you hear strangers and people in the public say you're good, you are tight, you're gonna make it. Charlie Pound happens to be one of those people. This is how he discovered that he can rap and is gifted with the ability to write and perform well.
Since Charlie Pound was always a bad boy in and out of school, he wrote his lyrics in detention, in seclusion, and when he was on lock down at home which was a lot. Over the course of a few years, Charlie Pound began to develop his own style of rapping by taking his extraordinary talent and painting a vivid picture of any situation, person, place or thing. Even at the drop of a hat.
At the age of 15 he started entering talent shows and rapping locally around the way in Northern and Southern New Jersey. By doing this, Charlie Pound saw that he was able to deliver a sound that blends his charismatic personality and high energy and high-spirited performance that can heat up an audience.
Charlie Pound graduated High School in 1999 and joined the U.S. Navy where he rapped on cruises and overseas in places like Italy, Spain, and Puerto Rico. Even then he was able to generate a local buzz in the military community.
Charlie Pound is currently residing in Atlantic City and is now working on his demo and marketing himself.
Charlie Pound quotes: Desire and determination is what drives me. Even though my friends and the public like my work, I had to show it to my family because they are your biggest critics. But when I showed them, they loved it and since that day on they showed me nothing but mad love and I thank them for that.
Look out in the future for the UP & COMIN' CHARLIE POUND.
I don't like to rap as a hobby. It is deep for me.
